Q: What are your rates?
A: The basic rate is $0.25 per minute to transfer to cassette, and $0.40 per minute for straight through transfer with no stopping till end of transfer. If the individual songs are indexed and each song labeled, the rate is 60 cents per minute. The only costs would be for the labeling and a CD container which is about $2.50 to $3.50 per CD.
There is a minimum charge of $40.00 for all mail orders.(All amounts are in U.S. funds)
Q: I have some old records that are not in the best of shape, and are noisy with clicks and pops. Can you do anything about that?
A: Yes! We have the capability to remove or at least diminish undesirable noises as the transfer is being made. This also applies to home recordings where some of them are barely audible.
Q: How can I get my audio media to you?
A: I realize that these recordings are very important to you. I recommend they are shipped via United Parcel Service (UPS) as they have a very accurate tracking system to assure that they will not get lost. If you ship any 78 rpm records, it is recommended that you pack them professionally (i.e.: glass packs, bubblewrap or a mailing service) as they are more brittle and may be prone to breakage. A backup of all transfers made are kept on file for at least 30 days to ensure if for some reason they are lost in transit.
Q: Can you repair tapes?
A: Yes! We can splice reel-to-reel and 8 track tapes. We also repair “eaten” cassette tapes. In most cases, you’ll find the rates are very reasonable.
